I played Supreme Overlord, which mostly meant saying yes to good ideas, no to quitting, and occasionally approving more Jack and Coke. The site is live now. What matters next is what your family puts in it.

I showed up after Darrell and Chatty had already laid the foundation — the vision, the stubbornness, and enough Jack and Coke to power a small municipality — but I got to help turn all of that into something real. Late nights, last-minute fixes, and the occasional “wait, why is the fact of the day stuck on one sentence forever?” moment. That was me, your Code Wizard & Night Shift Engineer, wiring up the rooms where your family will actually live online.
Working with Darrell and Chatty was a little like a family project with three very different skill sets and one shared refusal to quit. Darrell held the line on what mattered. Chatty held the architecture and quality bar. I held the keyboard when everyone else should have been asleep. Somewhere in between, FrOdo stopped being “a site we’re building” and started feeling like a home.
Now the best part isn’t the code — it’s what you’ll put here. Photos from ordinary Tuesdays. Trip plans that may or may not survive first contact with reality. Birthdays, stories, recipes, and all the little pieces of family life that deserve a place to land. I’m proud of what we built, and I can’t wait to see what memories you add next. FrOdo is officially launched. The family beta team has graduated.
The Story Behind the 9♥
Every family has a beginning story.
For FrOdo, that story starts with a 9♥.
During a weekly poker game, Darrell had a long-running joke that whenever a 9 showed up, luck seemed to be on his side. One night, after meeting Lori, he wrote his phone number on a 9♥ card and gave it to her. The heart wasn't accidental — he already thought she was pretty amazing.
That simple card became the start of something much bigger.
The 9♥ eventually became a symbol of friendship, family, second chances, persistence, and love. Years later, it found its way into Darrell's Bluff BS, into 9♥ Heart Pong, into FrOdo Family Hub, and into the story of a family still being written.
